My Experience: I used this cream to two-strand twist my hair after using the EBW CoWash and Leave In. I conditioned and let it air dry for about twenty minutes. I then sealed with coconut oil (I usually use castor oil) after applying the EBW Leave In.
I loved the definition and hold I got with this product. It did exactly what it claimed. However, I didn’t like my twist out results with this product because of the way I used it. I love a chunky twist out and I think this product would be best for that style on dry stretched hair. I wouldn’t use it on wet hair again because personally I don’t like shrinkage. If you like or want shrinkage, then feel free to use it on wet hair.
Pros: The product definitely gives the hair with a soft hold like the package claims. I love products that do exactly what they claim.
Cons: There was more shrinkage than I anticipated and it wasn’t very moisturizing. However, because the product doesn’t claim to be moisturizing this is not a concern, it’s just something I look for when trying a new cream. The next time I use this product I will add more moisture and seal with a heavier oil.
Final Thoughts: If you like shrinkage, this can be used on soaking wet hair. If you don’t like shrinkage, use it on stretched, dry hair. I would also suggest sealing before using it to retain the moisture from the Leave In.
